Hello There,
WOW! I can't believe how fast time just scatters away.
After my last post (which was all the way in May) I have been trying to relax some, to no avail.
June was packed with birthdays and cupcake classes to prepare and teach.
July 1st was my son's 6th birthday and a birthday party for him, so more cake stuff and some decorating. "Avengers" was the theme.Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-55745863156572368392012-05-21T16:39:00.003-06:002012-05-21T16:39:31.436-06:00Mother's Day Gift
Mother's Day.....
Time is going way to fast.
It's almost June! Can you believe it? I certainly can't. I'm still back in April, and I better fast forward fast.
I did manage to get something done for Mother's Day. You might recognize the gems form the treasure chest cake I made for Teacher Appreciation. I got this brilliant idea (mostly inspired by Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-18033417091249614862012-05-15T18:50:00.001-06:002012-05-21T15:18:18.685-06:00Teacher Apprecitation WeekOK, so, yeah Teacher Appreciation is over.......

Hello Everyone,
As I said on my last post I was really inspired while making the charm party tote, and I promised a tutorial.
And so here it is.......Flower Hair Barrettes
I've been wanting to make hair clips for my little daughter, who has massive amounts of hair (you'll see a picture of her wearing the clips down a little further) for a while now. And making the tote gave Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-54499920871456271202012-03-22T14:53:00.000-06:002012-05-21T15:18:10.644-06:00Charm Party Tote
Hi Every One,
It's been about a week sense I've been able to post anything, maybe longer.
Like I mentioned on my last post, my little daughter was sick and only wanted mommy, and with that, mommy became sick as well. But not too sick to work on something.
Last week I started this Charm Party Tote pattern designed by Penny Sturges of Quiltsillustrated.com.Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-82803946978693855682012-03-15T13:21:00.000-06:002012-05-21T15:18:10.663-06:00Cake Inspiration
I hope you become inspired to give cake decorating a try.
How did I get into cake decorating?
Well, I wanted to make birthday cakes for my children (at the time I just had my son) and I needed a challenge. I had stopped working and was a full time mom.
In June of 2007 I started to think "How cool would it be if I could make my son's 1st birthdayMamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-75380975041355491372012-03-11T20:36:00.002-06:002012-05-21T15:18:10.659-06:00Part 3 Cloth Napkins

I've been talking to my husband about making cloth napkins, and why not show you all what I will be doing. We want to cut down on the usage of paper napkins, and sense we have two very active kids that means a lot of paper napkin usage. Not to mention it can end up costing more than you want it too.
I will be posting 3 ways of making napkins in the next few days. &Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-63063157131704309292012-03-06T20:49:00.000-07:002012-05-21T15:19:06.624-06:00Curtains are up
Hi Everyone,
It's been a busy day. Could it be Tuesday? Why yes, the busiest day of the week for us. Which means laundry tomorrow. Oh Goody!
So, as you can see I got curtains up. And my hubby was able to get some of the insulation covered. We used only 3 small nails to hold them up. The board on the far left is just holding on with pressure. Hi All,
Wasn't able to do much yesterday. Tuesdays are always busy for my family, but today I managed to do some organizing and I built that skinny tall shelf over on the left of the first picture.
I was very proud of my self for doing that.
Pulled Rosie the Riveter out :).
Looking forward to Friday so my Master Carpenter (a.k.a my husband) Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-72125090223971987142012-02-27T19:43:00.003-07:002012-05-21T15:19:06.632-06:00Basment update
Well, it's been an interesting couple of days that includes:
Yesterday: My 2 year old little girl breaking a maraca, and did you know that some of those little suckers have lead beads in them?
Yeah, we didn't either.
So, because my little girl is so fond of putting things in her mouth and we didn't know if she had, we called poison control and they had us Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-47899765455488298252012-02-26T21:21:00.000-07:002012-05-21T15:19:06.612-06:00Mini Strawberry Cupcakes with Buttercream Icing and White Chocolate Hearts

Quick post today. My hubby had to work today so I couldn't get as much done as I wanted.
But he did get the shelving (that was in 4 boxes) up for me. It looks great. I was hope this would be done by tomorrow, but it is going to be another work day for my hubby.
As promised, I will be sharing cupcake and piping with chocolate. &Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5420133460098686712.post-55067847890450110672012-02-24T20:20:00.001-07:002012-05-21T15:19:06.615-06:00Basment Improvments Continue
So, there's this corner where my hubby built a closet that I had to manipulate and cut the fabric so it would fit. And so I cut it out and, I was thinking about binding it but instead I just folded it over and sewed it.
Not my best sewing but no one is going to see it unless they know it's there and want to see it. Any way.

So I didn't get as far as I wanted to yesterday.... oh well. I always have high expectations and I forget how long things actually take, hence, going crazy when I do projects.
But I really need to get all this stuff organized. You probably can't see them, but my washer and dryer are back there some where and my family is seriously running out of clean Mamita's Next Thinghttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12125192111961920014noreply@blogger.com0
